Really great lunch special deals! Just came here yesterday with my friend. She ordered their pad thai and I had their chicken curry. At most Thai places, the curry is usually pretty watered down and there isn't that much food food in it, but the curry I had was PACKED with chicken, red bell pepper, bamboo, and onions. I loved it! My friend's pad thai was good but nothing spectacular. I'd definitely come back again to try the rest of their curries. Yum yum!

I came here once with a friend and we ordered the Cashew Nut Chicken and the Spicy Eggplant. The Cashew Nut Chicken was delicious. I usually never eat eggplant, but it wasn't too bad either. This is probably the most legit place for Thai food in Westwood, although that isn't really saying much.
The service was pretty good. The only bad things I can really say about this place is they could work on their presentation and the decor could definitely be worked on. This place is definitely a little too old-school looking for discerning, trend-seeking college students. Not to mention their website screams 80's fashion victim.
Three friends and I made the decision to visit this establishment after our 305 bus, destined for Little Ethiopia, failed to show up. Luckily, being the smart, wonderful, and intelligent college students that we are, we had spent the last hour yelping good restaurants in the UCLA area. We read a few reviews for Thai House, including one that alluded to said restaurant's fantastic website. We decided to explore the website on our own and we were not disappaointed! The avant-garde graphics were fantastic, but what caught our attention the most was the promise of a skylight in the middle of the restaurant!
Thus when our Metro bus went missing in action, we immediately headed straight for Thai House. And let me tell you, we were not disappointed!! However, I do feel that there were four main reasons why this restaurant was the greatest Thai House ever. These include:
1. A beautiful skylight that really adds to the restaurant's atmosphere
2. Fresh, cold water that includes not just any kind of ice, but finely ground snow cone-esque ice!!
3. The eatery's soundtrack included such hits as Enrique Iglesias' "Hero," Celine Dion's "My Heart Will Go On," and Phil Collins' "You'll Be In My Heart."
4. Green apple flavored "Frootsie" candies, you know the fruity tootsie rolls?? Yeah man, they give you those with the check! And they're freakin bomb!!!!
So if you're looking for a thai restaurant with flavor AND personality, I would definitely check this baby out! After looking at the website, of course!

My gf and I were in Westwood and craving Thai, so we found this place on Google maps.
At first it was a bit awkward since we were the only patrons in the restaurant. It was 6:30 on a Sunday night. However, a few more people trickled in during our meal.
Overall, the food was good. Their red curry was pretty flavorful, but I wasn't too impressed by their Thai House Noodles. I thought the noodles were pretty bland, but the beef and veggies helped. Their thai iced tea was also a little bitter.
Service was friendly and I would eat here again if I lived/worked close by. Seems like a good place for lunch or takeout for dinner.
One odd note: Apparently they don't seem to fond of 10% tips. The 10% tip suggestion was manually crossed out on the receipt, leaving only 15% and 20%. I typically tip in the 15-20% range anyway, but I found this humorously strange... and they did this on 4 receipts! (50/50 split, merchant and customer).

What? I can't believe I never rated this place. I really love it, so I though I had rated it when I first joined Yelp. :[ Alas, I had not, so here is my review now.
So, I've gone here many times the past 4 years I've been at UCLA. The times that I didn't eat here I got delivery from this place (free AND with their coupon you get a free Thai tea & soda). Everything I've ever eaten here has been good. However, if I had to recommend something off the menu, it would be the Mee Krob (which is very light and crispy here). They give a good portion of food for your money here, and if you take leftovers home, they generally reheat really well.
The service is pretty good, and the atmosphere is good for meeting with new friends :) I've never had less than a good time.

It seems like the reviews are pretty mixed about this place but my experience was great.
I just came in for take out, but I got a good feel of the atmosphere of the place and everyone working there was super nice and even kept me company while I waited the 10 short minutes for my food. The price was great, and being a poor graduate student I will never complain about that.
I got the chicken Pad Thai and the portion was great for the price, I had enough for a good sized meal and a snack later. It could've used a little bit more kick but since I got take out a little hot sauce from home took care of that right away.
I won't pretend to be any expert on Thai food but I do know when I enjoy a good meal and this was one.
I'd definitely at least give this place a try. It seems like many people do enjoy it and I'm one of them!

This is our family's favourite Thai restaurant. The second one is Mr. Noodle. What makes this place so good? All I can say is that they use fresh ingredients and everything tastes superb. When the mushrooms are not canned, and the pineapple is not canned as well, you know they are putting the time and effort into making excellent fare.
Their Tom Yum soups are better than everyone else.
If you ever end up in Westwood and need a nice sit in diner that's been around for ages, look no further than Thai House. Over the years, the neighboring diners, stores have changed, but this place hasn't! It's a good thing!
Now what you won't get is the spiciness of the authentic Thai restaurant, and that is the only thing lacking. Fortunately, the food is so good that you don't need some super spicy spices to mask the taste like other places.
2.5 starts, rounds up to 3.
Adequate, average Thai food. Order exclusively Thai food or everything else will taste relatively the same. I have been here on 2 non-consecutive occasions. The curry here goes well with the rice, not as flavorful as I wanted it to be, but for a quick lunch, this is a good place to go. Although... I would not go here if I had to do something that required my full attention since a food coma is most likely (carbs/rice and curry, what a great combo)

Some associates and I patronized this establishment after a rousing afternoon of grading final exams. All in all, it was a wonderful experience (the dining, that is, not the grading).
There were not many people inside (probably because the UCLA exodus had already begun; the shouts of 'spring breeeeeeeeeak' could be heard for miles around), so we were seated promptly. Our server was soft spoken, but his placidity belied a deeper wisdom, for he truly was excellent at the job. We had a vegetarian amongst us, and our server was able to accommodate his menu alterations without skipping a beat.
The food itself was superb. The curry could have used a bit more of a kick, but with a side of rice I was able to eat until I felt like I would puke. In a good way, though, not a bad way. All around we seemed to be in consensus that the food was great.
Dining here will not break the bank, either. So mister, if you are looking to impress that someone special, but you don't want to invest too much (you dirty cheapskate), consider this a potential destination. But if you are rich, fear not! This place will accommodate you as well. If you are rich and also pretentious, you can also buy the artwork on the walls - all of it is for sale, most of it in the $900 range. If ever a prince and a pauper were to agree on a place for some good eating, Thai House would be it.

I love this place. It would normally receive 4 stars but I have a tradition of going here with friends who wanna just sit and talk. For that sentimental value I have I add a star.
Prices are great, food is amazing, and the atmosphere is nice kinda quiet (soft music usually in the background).
I love the artwork and the food. I almost always get the Thai House Noodles. It's a mix of vegetables, beef, chicken, shrimp, noodles and a hodge podge of other delicious things. That with a glass of their very delicious Thai Iced Tea. You'd be set.
I usually just barely finish the meal but more often than not I take left overs home. The price is usually between $6-9 for the plates. The service is great and the people are very nice.
Everytime I got with a friend the total for 2 people has never been more than about 25 dollars. (including tip).

Ok, so I don't understand all these good reviews for such a mediocre place. Granted the two times I've been here, I was hungover for both but I think I'm a pretty good judge of whether or not food tastes good. I'm not even picky for pete's sake but when I order curry, I kind of expect to taste more than just coconut milk. We ordered the Karee Chicken Curry and it looked like a bowl of yellow coconut milk (not the most appetizing thing when hungover). I also ordered the vegetable tom yum soup. It was ok but not stellar. I came in starving and left quite hungry because I just couldn't get myself to eat anymore yellow coconut milk soup. I don't think I'll ever eat here again (and from the looks of it, I don't think anyone ever even eats here)

Perfect for a quick cheap lunch. You could even split a dish and an appetizer with someone else. The pad Thai is always good, and my personal favorite, they have an entire page devoted to perfect lunch specials.

Great lunch specials for $6.95-$7.95 ! All Lunches Include daily soup, salad & fried rice.
I prefer the cashew nut chicken and pad Thai but my friends love the silver threads lunch special and for those of you like me that have no idea what silver threads are they are "wok tossed pan fried bean thread noodles with shrimp, chicken, egg, mushrooms, tomatoes and onions"
Great portions, most likely you will have left overs!
They are normally not that busy so you won't have to wait to be seated, I also love the art work on the walls and it's for sale!! Too bad I can't afford it because some of it is very good!

The atmosphere was nice... quiet and dark. The prices and food were decent. Lots of meat and veggies in the Thai House Noodles, although a tad too salty for my tastes. I asked the waitress about the fact that my noodles were burnt, but she said that was their style. Interesting. They weren't just a little burnt...they were kinda bitter from being charred... guess I'm just not used to that style.
My bf had ordered curry - he thought the portion size was a bit unsatisfying because there wasn't enough to take home. Call us cheap students, but we generally like to have some leftovers when paying $10+ per person.
If you check out the place, try going at lunch. The lunch specials are probably more satisfying overall.
